SkillsIn general, Attributes and traits describe what a character is. By contrast, skills describe what the character does. Every character has a set of abilities called skills that together account for their areas of proficiency. It is certain that a character will have more knowledge than their list of skills includes, but such knowledge will be inconsequential compared with their skills, and only in areas in which a character is skilled is he truly proficient. All other knowledge is hobby-level at best. |
