League
Automation Tutorial: The NBT Automation system can seem quite
daunting to newcomers due to its depth and complexity. MastaBlaster has
compiled a step by step tutorial for the NBT automation, complete with
links to the related rules pages.
Fireslave's Modeling Tutorial:
The following is an introduction tutorial to the concept of modeling 'Mechs,
either for ones own education, or for possible inclusion in the NBT-HC
project. Also, please check out our Modeling & Graphics forum on the
HPG Uplink.
Internet
Relay Chat: IRC is the default chat protocol used by
NBT-HardCore. There are many IRC programs available online that can be
used for this purpose. Generally we recommend mIRC
or HydraIRC. Once
you have the program downloaded and installed, you may follow this tutorial
to setup your IRC connection to our NBT Chat Rooms
Connection Speeds: NBT-HardCore allows player to join the league regardless of Internet connection. From 33.6 to T3 lines, all are welcome. Due to the nature of the Internet though, this can sometimes cause issues with lag and playability. MW4: Mercs requires that you set your in-game connection speed to the correct setting in order to optimize play. NBT-HardCore requires this as well.
MekTek
Map Installations: NBT-HardCore makes use of the MW4: Vengeance
and Black Knight map conversions provided to us by MekTek. Installing
these maps can be difficult for some. So we have provided a step-by-step
instruction manual for the installation of these maps.
MW4 Monitor Commands Tutorial: All NBT servers run the MW4 Monitor in both Public and League modes. This tutorial will describe the options available to the public players while using the NBT Servers.
