League Donations
NBT is supported by your voluntary donations. While we do not require these donations in order to participate in the NBT league, they are much appreciated by the Admins and are a suggested way for your unit to show its appreciation for the services that the league provides. These funds are used to pay for server upgrades, registration fees, web site upgrades and the various other expenses entailed in running a gaming league of this size. NBT never has been, and has no plans to ever be a pay-for-play league. At the same time, it needs to be understood that it is quite expensive to maintain the league on a monthly basis, with monthly costs ranging from $300 to $600.
It is recommended that each unit participating consider contributing an average of $10 a month during their stay in NBT. If each active unit in the league were to follow this standard, not only would the costs of the league be covered, but additional expansions to the league could be rolled out much faster, including support of future projects, like Clash of Steel, server upgrades as well as additional servers as needed by the league..
Another option that we present to units is a web hosting package offered by Phoenix Creation. This package includes: Domain Hosting, 25 email addresses, 100 mb web space, 1 GB monthly bandwidth and 1 mySQL database. The yearly cost for the package is $100, comparable to the $10 a month donation recommendation above.

NBT Account Summary
The following is a summary of the incoming and outgoing funds associated with the NBT league system. These include donations through PayPal and direct mailing, as well as the monthly expenses of running a league of this type. There are 2 primary expenses that are entailed to keep the league running. The first of these is the most important, being the Primary Server Hosting fees of $200. This keeps the NBT Server Bank (9 boxes) up and running for use by all who play within NBT. This amount is also contributed to by the Google AdSense system payments each month.
If you wish your donation to be applied to a specific expense per month, please make a note of it in the PayPal transaction or on the check. By default donations are applied in the order detailed below.
The second expense is the $250 a month (reduced bandwidth costs as of Oct '07) that Phoenix Creation covers regarding website hosting and bandwith. This is not part of the league required obligation, as it is what Dark Phoenix generally covers to keep the league up and running (though any help is always appreciated). Monthly balances reset at the end of each month, with Phoenix Creation covering any remaining balance.
