Mech Warrior Russel had finally received a chance to prove his worth to Clan Goliath Scorpion. He had tested out with 1 kill. That was 2 months ago.

His first taste of battle against an enemy clan occurred yesterday. After the chain of engine containment failures within 2 minutes Mech Warrior Russel was the lone Scorpion Mech left on the field.

The enemy Viper had almost killed off the point of Elementals and was making short work of Russel's Horned Owl. However luck was on Russel's side, though he would never admit he got a lucky shot against the Viper which caused an ammo explosion that knocked the enemy pilot unconscious.

He was now the next in line to be a Star Commander thanks to being the sole Mech Warrior to survive. Of course he would have to fight one or both of the Elementals for that honor, but if his luck held out he would be facing only one of the Elemental and from the safety of his BattleMech.

Situation:

The Jade Falcons have taken an aggressive stance against Clan Goliath Scorpion. However the Falcons are well embattled with forces from the Inner Sphere and to a lesser extent both of the Wolf Clans.

You can expect the usual BattleMechs to be fielded by the Jade Falcons.

Mission:

Your Galaxy will begin to conduct Recon missions on Falcon held territory throughout the K-Cluster to commence ASAP.

Any Recon data obtained will be for both our use and that of our allies.

...."How long have I been out", the Seeker asked the empty room. A look at the clock indicated 8 hours.

The theme to the visions where clear as mud.

A pack of canines where blocked in a cave. The only way out was to run over the dozens of scorpions marching towards the dogs.

Another vision showed a Coyote Mech laying waste to the Kerensky dream with it's reckless actions.

Perhaps most troublesome was his last vision. Coyote warriors mindlessly fighting over the scraps of a burning Strana Mechty, with a flag from the Inner Sphere flying high over the rubble.


The Seeker struggled to draw a meaning from all of it....Reports of the Coyote Clan trying to make contact with the Inner Sphere....the Coyote attacks against Goliath Scorpion holdings. It seemed to the Seeker the Coyotes wanted to first wipe out the relics of the past by first eliminating Clan Goliath Scorpion....

..."My thoughts are fragmented and disjointed" he thought to himself. If we do not stop Clan Coyote by the time the other clans take action it will be too late. Clan Coyote must be neutralized...

Star Colonel Marko Shaffer still could not get over the courage shown by his Elementals. It wasn't enough that they fought briefly at point blank range with the Coyote Elementals but they also finished off a Highlander IIC rather than take Hegira. As such the sole surviving Elemental jumped in to the path of the 95 ton Turkina and got off one last shot before being vaporized by the combined fire of the Turkina and a Horned Owl.

"That much fire power was not needed to destroy a battle damaged Elemental" he thought out loud. It was obvious why the Coyotes had gained the upper hand. As it turned out some of the Scorpion Bondsmen where being used against their former clan. These warriors knew how the Scorpions fought therefore it was easier to develop counters to those tactics.

"So it is apparent that the Coyote Clan lacks the skill to face us themselves they must send captured warriors to attack us. Perhaps it is time to go on the offensive."

Galaxy Commander Colin Yeh you are to cease all trials against the Jade Falcon Clan. Your new target is the Coyote Clan. Reports from the Watch have indicated that the so called Warden Coyote Clan has launched attacks against the Inner Sphere.

Your Mission is to get up to date reconnaissance information on all Coyote holdings.

...it has come to my attention that the Coyote Clan has launched unjustified attacks against an Inner Sphere state. The target was the Lyran Alliance.

The Watch reports that the Lyran Alliance is of no threat to the Home Clans. Yet the Coyotes choose to give the Inner Sphere more reasons to have use all annihilated. There is only one force in the Inner Sphere the Warden Clans should even consider attacking and that force is the Word of Blake.

The Coyote Clan is leaving us no choice but to go on the offensive and put an end to their reckless actions. The Coyotes have no holdings in the Inner Sphere and therefore have no reason to be there.

Khan Ariel Suvorov address to the Clan Council

It would appear that the Steel Vipers and Coyotes are working together in their continued assaults against the Goliath Scorpion. Though we have enjoyed some success in repelling these attacks we must continue to remain at the highest level of readiness.

To make matters worse we suffered a humiliating defeat against the Hells Horses. My warriors do not let this deviate you from your goals.

According to the Watch the Steel Vipers are seeking the location of our Phantom BattleMech production facilities. We also have those snakes slithering all over Roche. No formal trial was declared.

Since no trial was declared clan ROE's are not applicable. We cannot let the snakes do to Roche what they did to Huntress.

Khan Ariel Suvorov's address to the CGS council

The 17th Scorpion Cuirassiers of Delta Galaxy had just touched down on Roche when a challenge was issued by Clan Coyote. Khan Ariel Suvorov bid the 17th Scorpion Cuirassiers to handle the defense of Roche E.

Galaxy Commander Lincoln Dinour was more than happy to show up Gamma Galaxy in the defense of the Scorpion home world. Being the Galaxy Commander of the Scorpions best defensive unit it was only fitting that his Galaxy handle this latest attack against the Goliath Scorpions.

Leading the defensive from the seat of his Dire Wolf, a gift from the Wolf Clan, Galaxy Commander Lincoln Dinour successfully defended against the Coyote onslaught.

The larger BattleMechs of the Coyotes eventually decimated the Medium and Light brawlers of the 17th Scorpion Cuirassiers but not without suffering a heavy toll in the process. In the end only 3 'Mechs remained on the battle field. Due to the terrain Lincoln Dinour was unable to catch the last Coyote Mech left on the field, though half of that 'Mech was left all over the desert before it managed to escape the furry of the Galaxy Commanders Dire Wolf.

As a result it would be the responsibility of the 17th Scorpion Cuirassiers to hunt down and remove the remaining Coyote forces on Roche while Gamma Galaxy dealt with the Steel Vipers....
