Just a quick question on RAC's. I had a RAC 5 that needed a 4 to hit, it rolled that 4, but then also jammed. The MM client seemed to think that because the RAC jammed, there wouldn't be another roll to see how many shots hit, so it counted all the shots as hit. In other words, this is what went down:

6-Shot RAC fire needs a 4 roll. Rolls a 4 for a hit, but also a jam, and all 6 shots hit for 30 damage.

Does this seem right? I didn't think RAC's were suppose to jam when they made their rolls. Also, even if they do jam, shouldn't there be a second roll to see how many shots hit?

as far as I know RAC's can jam even if they hit. As for the roll how many shots hit... mhhh... I will look into that.

2 to 3 hit = 2 to jam
4 to 5 hit = 3 to jam
6 hit = 4 to jam

If I am not mistaken.

so if you needed a 4 and rolled a 4 when on 6 hit, it would have jammed and hit the target.

I know UAC jams don't hit at all. But UAC's jam on a 2 only right? It is a rare day that you have a 2 roll to hit. But the TC mechs with RAC's often get 4-5-6 rolls if they stand or walk.

UAC do jam on 2. Use a Bane you would know. Once a UAC jams its destroyed for the rest of the game.

If you jam a RAC, you can unjam by walking the next turn and hitting unjam during the movement phase. If you roll a 7 it un-jams.
Note: You can not fire any weapon while un-jamming.
