Could be since Mages aren't allowed to hold offices, other positions of power, or inherit. And since a mage as the Prince-Consort would give the appearance of manipulation...

i know, i'm the last mofo to get everything, but this game is pretty cool. the storyline is cool and i actually don't get bored watching the cinematic scenes.

seems like a good mix of the best parts of NWN Guild Wars, Dungeon Siege II, and also reminds me, just a bit of Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" , what with the grey wardens guarding against the blight and darkspawn.


only reason i picked it up was because the only game store in town was out of mass effect 2, and i saw this gave you promotional crap for it.

I'm glad i did, i'm only a lvl 8 dalish rogue dual-wielder/backstab so far but digging the hell out of it.

any tips or advice that might help me out?

Don't think the 360 version is any different aside from worse visuals and lack of the overhead camera so :

If you want to make combat REALLY easy:

Take your mages down the frost spells as soon as possible: watch creatures die.

If you want a challenge just play the way you want to play.

Mages can be broken in many ways. Cone of cold freezes almost anything, which is, well, really quite helpful sometimes. Against large numbers of enemies, inferno + earthquake so they can't escape it is hilarious. Even better when you can cast them through walls on the, uh, tactical-level view or whatever zooming all the way out is. Clearing out entire rooms without their ever getting the chance to see me is kind of cheap, but amusing.

Cone of cold + stone fist = pwnage

Or

Cone of cold + Sten with huge sword = even more pwnage

Has anyone found any interesting Mods for the PC version?
